What You'll Find at Sde Boker Sde Boker is located in southern Israel, about an hour and a half from Be’er Sheva. It was founded in 1952 by Prime Minister David Ben Gurion who wanted to make the desert bloom. As such, it is home to a kibbutz as well as an archaeological dig site, where visitors can explore ancient stone structures and artifacts dating back centuries. The area also features several trails for hiking and biking, including one which follows the Zin Valley. And if you’re looking for something more relaxing, there are also plenty of nearby nature reserves to explore. History at Sde Boker The area around Sde Boker has been inhabited since prehistoric times and many ancient artifacts have been discovered here. In addition, the area was an important location during biblical times—it was here that Moses and his people passed through on their way from Egypt to Canaan—and this makes it an ideal destination for those interested in religious history. There are even ruins of an old synagogue located near Sde Boker that date back to the Second Temple period (530 BCE–70 CE). The Kedma Hotel Sde Boker There are a variety of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered in the enchanting Negev Desert, thanks to its stunning natural beauty, pollution-free arid climate, and stunning natural beauty. In the many quiet corners of the grounds, this layout, which evokes days gone by, blends seamlessly with the surrounding scenery and offers a great deal of rest and relaxation. For example, just south of Sde Boker lies Ein Avdat National Park which features beautiful canyons and waterfalls, perfect for swimming or just taking time out to enjoy some peace and quiet away from civilization. Alternatively, those looking for some excitement can head east towards Mitzpe Ramon Crater National Park where they will find numerous caves as well as panoramic views of the desert landscape below them. Celebrate Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall

Celebrate Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall

In recent years we have witnessed a growing trend of secular and religious families who prefer to celebrate Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall. This bar or bat mitzvah event is one of the most influential events in the life of a Jewish child who has reached adulthood, many parents today are looking to celebrate this event in a different and unconventional way. We have collected for you a number of options for holding a special event that will be remembered for years to come. Bar Mitzvah at the Western Wall - independently: From an inspection we did to produce an event at the Western Wall can cost between 6,000 and 20,000 NIS per event, of course it all depends on which production company chooses and what content we want to offer our guests. Those of you who are interested in producing such an event on your own should keep in mind that it is not an easy and not even cheap production even when performed alone. In the first stage, you need to check the Hebrew date of the child, according to which the child can be raised to the Torah, and of course, remember that the event can be performed on Mondays and Thursdays of the week (days of publishing a Torah scroll). After we have chosen the date, we need to contact the Western Wall Heritage Association in Jerusalem in order to coordinate the event and receive an escort on their behalf. Then you need to coordinate with the bus company the day of the event and the program is recommended to bring the guests by bus than then look for them all if you arrive privately (there is also a parking problem at the Western Wall)… As for content, you can of course decide for yourself what suits your guests, we recommend a light breakfast together (in the summer also make sure to drink a lot) and of course after the ascent to the Western Wall a shared lunch in a restaurant or hotel (lunch can also be a place for greetings or a presentation). It is possible and recommended to add a procession of drummers and trumpets, including a canopy that creates a happy atmosphere and of course enriches the event. You can coordinate with them in advance or just close with such a group when you arrive, you can sometimes find them right at the entrance to the Western Wall courting customers (there is a risk of waiting for the last minute because they may not be available). You can also hire a guide or bus escort who will entertain the atmosphere and activate the guests. For those who are interested, you can also coordinate the inflating of balloons, the production of kippahs for guests and even a headscarf for women with the child's name on them or to hand out a souvenir from the event and of course not to forget a video and stills photographer. In the summer, it is recommended to coordinate with the Western Wall management the event inside the tunnel, where there is air conditioning and of course women's help that includes an audio kit (headphones that help women hear the child read) Activity through a production company: Our recommendation for those who want to come and enjoy the event and most importantly do not mess with the whole process (again it is important to note That the process requires a lot of work if producers alone) hire a production company, they take care of all the coordination They also take care of accompanying the child in the process itself, also coordinating guides who will travel with the guests on the bus and of course make their time pleasant in singing in the Yedioth Ha'aretz quizzes and more. Sometimes it is also possible to coordinate with the production companies a show or a show as part of the walk to the Western Wall itself, there are a number of production companies that specialize in the field, here are two of them: More about this source text Source text required for additional translation information Send feedback Side panels

Dor Tantaura Beach in Israel

Dor Tantaura Beach in Israel

The Dor Tantaura Beach in Israel is a beautiful stretch of beach with lagoons in Central Israel. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, Dor Tantaura beach is a picturesque paradise with plenty of sun and water activities. The beach of Dor - Tantura is one of the most beautiful and interesting beaches in Israel thanks to a group of islands located in front of the beach, one of which can also be reached on foot with the children in a short walk in the shallow waters, swim in the relatively calm waters, go kayaking, hang out at one of the beach restaurants and also stay overnight at a campsite or in a village the nearby resort. On the beach there are several natural bays in front of a chain of islands within swimming and walking distance from the beach and in the southern part, in the photo, a bay with an ancient structure (which you must not enter) in front of which colorful fishing boats are anchored, which is always interesting to go there with the children and see the boats, especially when the fishermen return from the sea. Adjacent to the beach are the holiday villages of Kibbutz Nahsholim and Dor that allow accommodation in igloo-shaped buildings or other regular rooms. Adjacent to the beach in Kibbutz Nahsholim is the Hamizgaga Museum, where you can visit and see the treasures that were washed up from the sea near the beach from the remains of shipwrecks that are on the seabed. During the holidays, children's activities are occasionally held at the museum. Whether you’re planning on spending just one day or staying longer with a stay at The Dor Hotel or Nahsholim Holiday Village, there’s something for everyone at Dor Tantaura Beach in Israel. From lounging under an umbrella on the beach to exploring nearby attractions like Mount Carmel National Park and visit Zichron Yaacov or neighbouring towns.
