The electric current used in Israel is 220 Volts Ac, single phase, 50 Hertz.
Three-pin sockets are commonly used, but some use two-pin plugs as well.
Taxis
All "special" taxi fares are governed by a meter, which operates according to: Tariff 1 - 5:30 am to 8:59 pm
Tariff 2 - 9:00 pm to 5:29 am When starting a journey, the driver is obligated by law to activate the meter.
Upon your request, the driver must give you an official receipt printed by electronic meter. In the event
you wish to lodge a complaint regarding traveling by taxi, please contact the nearest Government Tourist
Informatin Office, or the ministry of Transport.

Most main post offices remain open continuously from
8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Branch post offices are usually open from 8:00 am to
12:30 pm daily, and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm on days that
vary depending on the branch.
Friday hours are 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Telegrams can be sent from all post offices and hotels,
or by dialing 171.
