Old Jaffa Hostel

Location:
Map of Old Jaffa HostelThe location - EXCELLENT! (unless you enjoy the noisy, sleazy downtown with police sirens and massage parlors).

We are located in the old, atmospheric part of town, in the middle of Jaffa's Oriental Bazaar - lively during the day, quiet at night and within
walking distance to anything you need in the big city.

It is next to Tel-Aviv's most beautiful beaches and close to restored Old Jaffa and the old harbor.

Around the hostel there is a big choice of eating places who cater mainly to the locals and therefore are authentic and significaly cheaper than the ones in Tel-Aviv. Generally speaking - you are less likely to fall into a tourist trap in Jaffa and if you want to do some shopping - cloths, souvenirs exc. The 'Flea Market' is the cheapest place to do so.
Jaffa is also one of the few places in Israel where you can see Jews and Arabs living together in harmony.

How to get to us:

By Bus:
From the airport:
fastest and cheapest is to take bus no. 475 (bus stop is in front of the terminal) to Tel-Aviv central bus station. In the station go to the first floor and take bus no. 46 get of right after the 'clock tower'. You can see our sign from the street corner next to 'Abuleafia' bakery.

You can also take the airport bus no. 222 all the way to the last stop in Dan-Panorama Hotel, and walk from there for 10 min. to Jaffa.

From Tel-Aviv central bus station:
Take bus no. 46 from the first floor.
From Tel-Aviv railway station: Take bus no. 10.

By car:
Get off the Ayalon freeway at exit no. 12: KIBUTS GALUYOT RD. Turn west into Tel Aviv through 8 traffic lights, the ninth is a T junction :take a left. On the first traffic light turn left to Jerusalem blvd. Turn right on the first traffic light to Olei Zion St. Drive to the flea market where you have to turn right and then left and right again on the first street and you are under the hostel. Parking can be a bit of a problem during the day, and no problem from early afternoon in front of our door.
